‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ CarterMatt podcast: On Geraldo Rivera’s mustache pies (and the season premiere)
We wondered for a while whether or not we were going to even podcast the season premiere of “The Celebrity Apprentice,” mostly because there was such a limited window between the end of one episode, and the start of the next new one.
However, we ended up getting that question answered for us after watching the installment last night: It was just too good to not discuss! This episode really had everything that you could possibly want, including some awkward moments, great comedy, and a reminder that this is everything that you missed. There was a little bit of controversy in regards to the timing of events, in particular with Bill Cobsy’s name being mentioned alongside Keshia Knight Pulliam’s firing, but that is something we get into here.
Matt and Jessa start things off by going into some of the quick impressions of the cast, but over time, start to get more specific talking about the winners of this episode, which included Leeza Gibbons, Geraldo Rivera, Kevin Jonas, and a particular fun outing from Gilbert Gottfried, who proved himself to be extremely effective in his own way. There is also a defense of sorts for Kate Gosselin, a discussion about if Brandi Glanville and Kenya Moore are bringing the same thing to the table, and also if there was a fundamental mistake in how the women went about raising money for this task.
The crazy thing is that you’re not going to be waiting long at all to see the next edition of this podcast, which should be up in the morning. Think of these as an extension to the rest of our “Celebrity Apprentice” coverage, done mostly just because we love the show so much. We’re also going to have one for the premiere of “The Bachelor,” in the case you also love it.
