‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 5, episode 10 review: Will Steve accept a blind date?

Hawaii Five-0 -With the holidays coming to a close, we are finally getting new episodes of some of our favorite TV shows, and this of course includes “Hawaii-Five-0″. Tonight we are getting our first new episode since going off the air for the holidays and while we are hoping for some more movement on the stories involving our regular crew’s personal lives, we expect that they may be saving the big episodes for later in the season – but we’ll take anything at this point not to have to watch re-runs and holiday specials.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen a little bit of Adam and Kono’s relationship, but we had a nice reminder that Adam is a total romantic leaving her a breakfast and flurry of love notes since he had to head out early. With a show like Hawaii Five-0 that has weekly storylines involving murder and mayhem it’s nice to have a little bit of love infused in there too.

Steve is spending more time with Ellie and she’s trying to set him up on a blind date, one that he’s refusing to take, saying that he’s not ready. What exactly is he waiting for? Danny is backing up Steve’s decision not to go on the blind date saying that they are all disasters, but we say it’s time for a little Steve romance and that he should accept the date. Yeah it could turn out to be a disaster, or he could meet the next love of his life. worst case scenario he’s got a bad date story for Danny to make fun of him over.

Jerry also had a new story as well – he was looking for a new job, a legit job in computer programming and asked Chin to be his pretend reference. He didn’t get that job, but is now an expert sign spinner for a truck company!

We may not have gotten a lot of story when it comes to our regular cast, but we did get a few nice moments here and there. We always love an episode that has a little romance and Adam and Kono always deliver on that. Just marry him already! Episode grade: C+
