ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7 spoilers: New Stana Katic – Nathan Fillion ‘Castle P.I.’ scoop!

While “Castle” may not be back on the air with new episodes until Monday, January 12, why wait that long! After all, we’ve got some of the latest scoop for you now on “Castle P.I.” to help kick-start your new year! Now, if only you had one of those enormous coffees that Rick (Nathan Fillion) and Kate (Stana Katic) always seem to be carrying around.

What you probably know already are some of the basics, beginning with where we left off: Castle is kaput from the NYPD due to his mob connections, and now, he faces another challenge: Figuring out a way to fly solo. Sure, he could leave crime-solving to the actual professionals for a change and work on a book, but what is the fun in that? A recent synopsis by ABC sets up most of that.

Meanwhile, SpoilerTV reports that by the end of the episode, Beckett is going to have a surprise for her husband. Will it be a return ticket to work? We doubt it, since one episode does not seem to be enough time to mine the potential greatness of seeing Castle forced to fend for himself.

Also, we learn through here that at one point, Castle is going to sneak into the M.E.’s office to try to look at the autopsy file for the victim in a case. Let’s just say that he is not otherwise welcomed there with open arms after his exit. Not everyone enjoys this man’s antics all of the time … at least in the world of the show. Our favorite “Castle” episodes are the ones stuffed full of his antics.

For those of you wondering whether or not Castle and Beckett will handle the change in their relationship, we imagine that they’ll be just fine. As a matter of fact, the competition between the two could end up being a source of fun.
