‘Parks and Recreation’ season 7 spoilers: Paul Rudd returning for two episodes

With the end coming ever closer for “Parks and Recreation” on NBC, it is becoming more and more clear that the show really wants to go out with a bang … and with just about every famous guest star humanly possible.

For further evidence, we present to you today the news that Paul Rudd is going to be returning for two episodes in the manchild role of Bobby Newport. This glorious news was reported first by Entertainment Weekly, with executive producer Mike Schur saying the following about getting the guy to sign on:

“He’s the world’s nicest human being—and the funniest … We made a list of all the people that we wanted to have back and he was high on the list, so we managed to snag him.”

There are definitely more surprise guests still to come, but it has at least been confirmed already that you are going to see more of Jon Hamm back on the show. He made his first appearance as an extremely incompetent employee, who was eventually fired, during the flash-forward portion of the recent season 6 finale. This season, which premieres next month, has already finished filming.

Is there anything to be really concerned about? We’re not entirely worried about it, if for no other reason than that it has consistently delivered the goods really ever since it started to really find itself during the second season. Why would it go wrong now? Everyone seems to ultimately be pretty happy with what is being brought to the table.
