‘Game of Thrones’ season 5: HBO sends out short, mysterious teaser
Think of this as an early Christmas gift if you are a massive fan of “Game of Thrones.”
Today, HBO decided to unveil the latest teaser promo via their new “Raven” messaging system on Twitter, but it is unfortunately not something to take a whole lot away from. It is also something tied to technical requirements. For example, you cannot watch it from a desktop, and you can only view it from some sort of mobile device.
The second main point to make here is that this trailer mostly consisted of flashing images from season 4, coupled with maybe some minor teases of season 5 settings. It is extremely cool, but nothing is exactly so revolutionary that you are going to be watching it time and time again.
This season is slated to premiere in the spring, probably in late March or early April. We also have a very difficult time at the moment imagining that this is the last one that HBO is going to put out there.
One other interesting thing to note is that given that we’ve seen different reactions to this on social media already, it is possible that different people are all ultimately seeing different versions of the clip. If that is true, it is a very interesting move from HBO to give us something different, and each fan has their own promotional experience.
If you want to get these messages delivered to you, we suggest heading over to the “Game of Thrones” Twitter page today.
