‘Downton Abbey’ season 5 Christmas Special: New photo featuring Michelle Dockery, cast
Given how the past two “Downton Abbey” Christmas Specials really have not had that much to do with Christmas at all, there is a part of us that is merely just thrilled to learn that the upcoming episode this year will actually keep the big holiday in mind.
The latest photo released from the ITV series’ big event above features Michelle Dockery, Hugh Bonneville, and much of the rest of the cast looking rather festive as they ring in the holidays. There are, after all, many reasons why this particular special stands out beyond this, and not all of them are signals of happy times.
For one thing, we know that this finale is finally going to give us a real answer in regards to the fate of Anna, and if she is ever going to get out of jail in one piece. Personally, we feel pretty confident that it could happen, given that we feel like there is something more to Mr. Green’s death than we know, and we cannot see the show being that desperate to really repeat itself based off of what they have done already.
Also, we have the questions in regards to the future of Tom Branson (Allen Leech), Daisy (Sophie McShera), and Lady Rose (Lily James). Based on what we have either seen on the show, or in the case of Rose, heard in the press, their characters could be departing the series soon.
