‘Supernatural’ season 10 spoilers: Timothy Omundson set to return as Cain
Given how big of a role the Mark of Cain has played on “Supernatural” this season, shouldn’t it make a little bit of sense to have the man himself return to the show?
It certainly feels that way, which is why we are pleased to confirm via Timothy Omundson himself that the character will be returning a little later this season. We basically learned through him the murder that the mark can have, and we are sure that there is some unfinished business between him and Jensen Ackles’ Dean in particular.
Cain is one of those characters so interesting that we would not mind having him around for a little while moving forward. Also, we’re big Omundson fans, which is one of the reasons why we were so psyched (fittingly) by every episode of “Psych.” You are going to see him next on “Galavant,” the big comedy event that ABC is preparing to unleash in January.
Given everything that Cain has done and could do, we do wonder if this is the sort of character who is capable of surviving long-term.
As for “Supernatural” itself, new episodes are going to be starting back come Tuesday, January 20 on the network. As of this writing, Ruth Connell (Rowena) and Felicia Day (Charlie) are among the other guest stars you will be seeing for sure again this season, though we definitely expect there to be a few other familiar faces that join Dean, Sam, Castiel, and Crowley at some point, as well.
