‘The X Factor’ UK results: Fifth Harmony performs ‘Bo$$’ to start show

Fifth Harmony -

There is a real reason to enjoy Sunday’s new episode of “The X Factor” UK, even if you are not a regular viewer of the show. All you have to do is be a fan of Fifth Harmony.

During this weekend’s event, the group, who found fame on the American version of the show, did their first major performance on the British version of the competition. Their song choice, as reported long ago, was suspected to be their hit “Sledgehammer.” This song is currently climbing the charts in America, and we expect that to happen still moving forward to the holidays.

With that being said, the ladies surprised us by coming out and performing “Bo$$” instead. This is another hit from their upcoming album, but we figured that with the way “Sledgehammer” was getting traction, that would have been the song choice. We also thought that they were going to be performing alongside the top four similar to what we saw with Queen and Adam Lambert last week.

Nonetheless, this is a great bit of promotion for the girls in the UK, and Simon Cowell seemed very happy to have them around. There is no bigger talent competition in the country than this one, and maybe this will lead to them getting more of an opportunity to perform in the country moving forward.

For now, there is still quite a competition going on tonight, and only a select few are going to advance to the big final. This is a position that Fifth Harmony could probably relate to, given that they felt most of these nerves two years ago when they were in the final four.
