ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 4: Tony Goldwyn on winter finale – phone scene

“Scandal” season 4 may be over for 2014, but that doesn’t mean that all news related to the show is at an end! Tony Goldwyn made an appearance this week on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” and it contained a number of entertaining things when it comes to the show.

Given that this is “Ellen,” this clip below does contain quite a bit of talk about Portia de Rossi, who plays Elizabeth North on the show and is of course Ellen DeGeneres’ wife. She loves being on the show, and they in turn love having her there.

From this point, though, the clip gets into some of the crazy stuff that the show has Goldwyn do as Fitz, including that phone scene with Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) that really surprised us on a number of levels. For one, we still have zero clue how in the world that ended up airing on ABC.

The best part of the video is hearing about just how embarrassing it was at times for Goldwyn to even do that scene, knowing that there were so many people watching every single move that he was making. Also, he had someone focusing the camera right next to him as he was giving out these very steamy lines.

As most Olivia / Fitz ‘shippers out there know at this point, there is still a good bit of hope for these two characters to be together at the end of the show. We just ultimately have to see what gets them to that point, and what sort of consequences could come from them actually being paired off.
