‘Call the Midwife’ season 4: Christmas Special air time confirmed for Miranda Hart, cast
Today, the network confirmed that “Call the Midwife” will air its big special for this year at 7:50 p.m. London time, which puts it roughly near where the series actually airs when it is on during the year. That is a clear indication from the network that even though Jessica Raine may be gone from the series at this point, they still have every bit of faith that it is going to continue to bring in some enormous ratings.
There are some big things to expect from this Christmas Special, and we in particular anticipate this being the story that really serves to establish where the show goes without Jennifer Worth. We know that Vanessa Redgrave is going to be appearing as the older version of the character, and maybe this is a way to explain how in the world Jenny would know the events at Nonnatus House, given that she is not present anymore.
After what happens in this episode, there is of course a whole lot more moving forward when it comes to “Call the Midwife.” There is a full fourth season premiering on the BBC early next year, or in March or so for those who are watching it in America on PBS.
