ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4, episode 9 preview: Why can’t Emily let go?

Over the past few weeks of “Revenge,” it would certainly be understandable if you were asking yourself one question: Why can’t Emily Thorne just be happy at this point? For the longest time, it was not entirely clear  why she was continuing to press for the truth about David Clarke. Something did not add up, and she was desperate to find answers to that.

Now that we are at this point in the season, one does seem very clear: She may have been right to make some of these points. In the sneak peek video below, you can see Emily VanCamp’s character continuing to do just about everything she can to figure out why David is back now, and who could be pulling the strings on the other side. As you would assume, since it is almost always the case, there is so much more going on here than what you would first assume.

By the end of this episode, we imagine that we are going to have some answers, but not all of them. There is one episode beyond this, and it will give you some of the answers that you seek … but probably an enormous cliffhanger in the process. Mixing the two has become essential to the formula of this show over the course of the past several years.

Beyond that episode, the future for this show is not always clear, though we do know that there will be some more episodes coming up for the show in January.
