‘Shark Tank’ revisited: Bombas, Zipadee-Zip, Hammer and Nails, and Amber

While we don’t often have a chance to revisit many products after their time on “Shark Tank,” today is somewhat of a special case. After all, it is Black Friday, and things are relatively quiet when it comes to the news. Therefore, that marks a chance for us to really dive in and explore our take on the products in tonight’s repeat airing months after they were first introduced to us. (We’re going at least off of the listing in TV Guide for tonight.)

Before we start, a good reference for this article will be the review that we first wrote for it many weeks ago.

Bombas – Looking back, probably the best product on the episode. These socks seem to be the most well-made, and the most appealing to consumers, even if there are other socks out there. While $36 for a set of four may be a little pricey, it’s worth it if they hold up longer. Plus, these guys got a great mentor-of-sorts from the tank in Daymond John.

Zipadee-Zip – They seem to be doing pretty well when it comes to selling their baby sleeping outfits since the Tank, and based on their website, they are really have to work hard at keeping up with the demand for the product. This is what happens with this show, since you can be hit with an influx of sales.

Hammer & Nails – Even though they didn’t get a deal, we still don’t feel like the concept is terrible. The problem we still envision is getting many guys to come off the street into the store, since manicures are not exactly on the minds of many men.

Amber charging station – Since the episode, our opinion on this business has soured more than any other. Do we believe people want to charge their phones at any time? Sure, but we don’t see that being a huge factor to the everyday person going out. You’re basically catering to a few who forgot to do it at home. Also, the price is something that is a hard sell to businesses.

Next week, there will be a new episode of “Shark Tank” on the air, and you can read more about it and much more over at this link. Also, sign up to get some other TV updates sent to you via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: ABC.)
