‘Survivor: San Juan del Sur’ episode 10 preview: Reed Kelly, man in the middle

The story arc of Reed Kelly on “Survivor: San Juan del Sur” is an interesting one. Before the merge, he was largely invisible, and not entirely important to any major storylines. Interestingly, we heard during exit interviews that he was a target in the early days of Hunahpu, but the tribe’s winning ways saved him.

Now, he could theoretically control the future direction of this game. There are basically two different alliances that could side with, and we’re at least presently constructing them as such.

Choice 1 – Wes and Keith, Alec, and Natalie. We’re putting Natalie with the boys, since it’s pretty clear that she cannot trust Missy anymore after what happened to Jeremy.

Choice 2 – Jon and Jaclyn, and Missy and Baylor. The big advantage to being here is that Reed could be a key person at final five if one duo wants to vote out the other, but even still, he may have a hard time making the final three here.

Both sides have immunity idols, so the advantage there is mostly negated other than Jon being a little sharper when it comes to what to do with his.

What should Reed do? In the preview below, which is at the end of the most recent “Survivor Live,” he makes it clear that for now, he wants to keep both sides close to him so he can figure out the right move over the course of the next few days. If we were hit, we’d go with the guys and Natalie to take out Jon, and then decide later if he wants to use the remaining three for something. You already know that Jon cannot be trusted, and while Alec, Wes, and Keith may be pretty terrible at the game, they are at least pretty straight-up when it comes to their intentions.

If you were Reed, what would you do? We want to hear your thoughts with a comment!
