ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 4 winter finale spoilers: What to expect from Kerry Washington, cast

In just over 24 hours from now, ABC is going to air what may very well be their most dramatic episode of “Scandal” in a while. This show is designed to produce all sorts of jaw-dropping crazy moments, but few may be as significant as what we see here. The show has to figure out, after all, how to keep people happy until it returns in late January to get into the middle portion of the scene.

For now, though, what we have for you is something fairly simple: What should you expect from Kerry Washington and the cast in this big episode? Given that this is season 4, we’ve come up with four little teases for you:

1. Pape Pope decision – Could Olivia take down her own father? It may at least be something that she has to consider. Also worth noting here is that Joe Morton has another project coming up for TNT, so even if Olivia doesn’t kill him, something may happen to keep him away from the story for a time.

2. Mama Pope – Yes, Khandi Alexander is finally going to stage a big return as Olivia Pope’s mom, and we are assuming at the moment that there will be plenty of drama and intrigue to go along with that.

3. Hope for Pope – Could she and Fitz have a chance at a future? Given that this is a finale episode, you have to know this is going to be addressed.

4. Away from Pope – Huck has to figure out what to do about his bizarre family situation, the Elizabeth North storyline reaches a new peak, and one or two decisions made by the supporting cast could blow your mind.
