‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11 winter finale spoilers: Sarah Drew’s April and baby complications
Would it be “Grey’s Anatomy” without some sort of possibly-tragic situation involving one of the doctors at the hospital? Our answer to this is simple: It wouldn’t.
In the sneak-peek video below, you can basically see what we would describe as a funny scene that turns serious very quickly. April (Sarah Drew) is getting what looks to be a standard ultrasound, and at first, there’s a little problem known as human error: April now knows that she is having a boy! She didn’t want to know about it before the baby was born, but now that problem has gone completely out the window.
Unfortunately, the problem arises when Stephanie does a little cross-comparison, and realizes that this child may have something seriously wrong with him. She doesn’t say quite what that something is, but she does not want April to get up and leave.
Given that this is the winter finale, we wouldn’t be surprised here if there is some sort of significant cliffhanger the show leaves us off with, and we are therefore left to sit around and speculate for the longest time about what is going to happen.
Just in case potentially-sad situations involving children are not your thing, this episode will have some other potentially-sad situations to go along with it. We are going to see another possible breaking point for Meredith and Derek’s relationship, and also complications with Meredith and Maggie over how to treat a patient.
Sooner or later, won’t a few people in this hospital be happy? Maybe, but it will probably come after the series finale (whenever that is).
