‘Survivor: San Juan del Sur’ episode 9 preview: Can Reed Kelly make a move?
Next week’s episode of “Survivor: San Juan del Sur” ultimately proved a few valuable rules of the game, with the most important one being that it is never a good idea to make arguments to other people about why they should do things for you; instead, it should be about how you can help them.
Josh Canfield was basically a victim of knowing that he was the smartest guy in the room, and his alliance did him no favors in acting like idiots around the camp. These guys just don’t have that sort of self-awareness, and while we’d like to give Missi, Jeremy, and that entire alliance more credit, this episode felt more about what Team Josh did wrong than what Team Jeremy did right.
So going into next week, Reed is going to have to enter hyper-game mode in order to stick around, and that includes outing Keith for having an immunity idol, even though Keith is actually a part of his alliance. Kind of a crazy move, right? Really, we know that Reed is trying to form some sort of new alliance, and we love that he’s a mover and a shaker. But, is he really the next target? We feel like Jeremy’s crew would want to break up Wes and Keith before him anyway, since that is a two-person alliance and Reed is only one guy. This paints a big target on his back as an instigator, which is something that Kelley Wentworth said he was back when we interviewed her early in the game.
We’re going to be very interested to see how things play out here, since we have a fear in the pit of our stomach that the show is going down a predictable road.
