‘The Mentalist’ season 7 spoilers: See Jane, Lisbon, in new ‘Nothing but Blue Skies’ photo
Fans of “The Mentalist,” rest assured: You have very little to be down about going into season 7. While it may end up being the final season of the show, finally getting to see Jane and Lisbon as a couple may be enough to make it all worth it.
The image attached here is the first one from “Nothing but Blue Skies,” which happens to be the premiere of the show airing at the end of the month. It doesn’t quite show a lot, at least other than Simon Baker and Robin Tunney’s characters out on the job.
The one thing that we’re still trying to make out about this episode is this: For some reason, the synopsis claims that the two are trying to keep their relationship a secret … but why? It doesn’t feel like Cho, Abbott, or anyone else at work is going to object to the two putting their relationship status out there.
The only reasonably guess we can surmise is this: Everyone is still trying to walk on eggshells around Pike, who we know is going to be returning for at least this one episode. For Jane’s sake, this may be a good idea given that we saw the sort of sword training Pedro Pascal went through to be on “Game of Thrones.”
Hopefully, we are going to get some answer on this subject around the time the show finally airs this big episode. After all, we’ll probably have other questions then to raise.

Thanks Matt, I always enjoy reading your unique spin on things. What I would like to see for The Mentalist is a season 8 on a different network. Unfortunately, I don’t think that will happen because CBS, in its endless drive to murder this show has again scheduled it opposite Sunday night football. The ratings will again be falsely low. I just hope any interested network realizes CBS’s tactics. There are no words for CBS …
