‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5, ‘The Fosters’ season 2, ‘Switched at Birth’ return dates official
When are some of your favorite ABC Family shows coming back on the air? Well, we’re here to hopefully provide a little bit in the way of answers and information on this particular subject.
We begin here with “Pretty Little Liars,” which will return on Tuesday, January 6 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. There is a Christmas episode airing next month, but this is the first opportunity that you’re going to have to watch many of these characters back in the traditional weekly format.
Meanwhile, “Switched at Birth” is switching nights, and you will see this after the hit drama on Tuesday. This move surprises us somewhat, since this is one of the network’s most-successful shows, and we thought that they would try to use the lead-in here on “Chasing Life” instead. Maybe these shows are seen as a better fit?
Anyhow, “Chasing Life” will premiere on the network come Monday, January 5, and it will follow up the return of “The Fosters.” We worry about this lineup, given that it is always hard to compete against heavy competition, and this is also the night of the “Bachelor” premiere over on ABC proper. Also, NBC is trying to come up with some new ways to compete courtesy of “The Celebrity Apprentice.”
Hopefully, all of these shows will live up to the expectations that we have for them, and if you stay tuned, we’re sure that we will have a whole lot to say about all of them in due time. For now, we just expect all of the same drama we’ve seen on the show over the years, with a little bit of comedy mixed in somewhere.
