‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 7, episode 10: Chris Franjola leaves ‘Anarchy Afterword’; Kurt Sutter takes over
Well, what do you know? There is even more late-breaking news at the moment when it comes to “Sons of Anarchy” and its accompanying aftershow “Anarchy Afterword.”
It has been confirmed now that Chris Franjola is not going to be a part of the final few editions of the show, and at least for tonight, show creator Kurt Sutter is going to be in charge of moderating the show, and his actors Charlie Hunnam and Kim Coates. There may have been scheduling issues that kept Franjola from coming back, at least according to a TVLine source.
What do we make from this? More than anything else, it is a big indication that hosting an aftershow is a heck of a lot harder than it seems. Chris Hardwick is excellent at it over on “Talking Dead,” and Franjola never seemed to find a comfort zone. To be fair, FX didn’t really do him any favors in only giving him a few to do over the past two seasons, and having them air all over the place. It’s really pretty hard to establish any sort of consistency under these sort of circumstances.
Hopefully, we’re going to get some good discussion regardless. We already told you that Kim Coates and Walton Goggins are going to be making an appearance of some sort, as well, but this may just be via a pre-taped segment.
Tonight’s episode of “Sons of Anarchy” proper is entitled “Faith and Despondency,” and suffice it to say, there are plenty of reasons for despondence at the moment. Just remember here that Bobby is dead, and in addition to that, Unser is getting closer to exposing Gemma and blowing up Charming like never before (that is, if he makes this choice).
What do you think about this news, and is this a net positive or negative for “Anarchy Afterword”? Share with a comment.

I was unable to watch the show live so am behind in the celebration that this ridiculous hack has been fired. However, I am only on here right now because I was looking for a forum to complain about him and beg for a replacement. He was single handedly ruining my final season experience! Additionally, if he had said ahhh or ummm one more time I would have had to hunt him down. TV personalities are supposed to be able to use their words! So glad I don’t have to beg for his removal, and anyway, who wouldn’t want Kurt to host? He f’ing rocks and should always have been the host! Long live the sons!

He really sucked. It was painful to watch. I had skipped the Afterword after episode 6. Enjoyed Sutter and the guests in the Afterword for episode 7. Went back and watched Franjola’s performance in episode 6 and WOW. I was embarrassed for him.

Last weeks episode of Afterword was the most painful thing I have seen on TV in ages. It was clear from the hosts constant references to how difficult hosting a life TV show is that he was out of his depth.

Chris Franjola should never be allowed near a tv camera again. The guy was, by far, the worst host of anything I have ever seen in my life. Thank GOD that FX had the common sense to finally replace him.
