‘Survivor: San Juan del Sur’ preview: Missi vs. Keith; Jaclyn vs. Jon
Who knew we would see such dissension in the ranks between two family members on “Survivor“? Crazy as it seems, Jon & Jaclyn could be in for one of their biggest disagreements to date on Wednesday night’s new episode.
Ironically, we understand each person’s point of view. From the perspective of Jon, of course he wouldn’t want to go with an alliance that includes Missi & Baylor, Natalie, and Jeremy. He knows that of this group, he is the biggest physical target by a wide margin, and the women could team up against him fairly easily.
Meanwhile, Jaclyn probably does not want to be a part of an alliance that is all men, especially when so many of them are acting obnoxious … mostly Alec and Keith, seemingly. Keith and Missi are specifically goes to get into it at one point, which is a dangerous game for Missi to play. We don’t know how aware everyone else is about Keith’s immunity idol, and while he may not be the sharpest tool in the shed strategically, all it takes is one person telling him he is going home for him to play it.
The only thing we can really hope for right now is an outcome that does not lead to someone like Josh or Jeremy going home. The longer these two stick around, the better the game is. Spencer and Tony both lasting so long is one of the reasons why “Survivor: Cagayan” was so great; Tony was sharp enough to realize that the longer Spencer stayed, the more likely it was that there would be a bigger target than him out there who would win the game hands-down at the very end. Strategically, it could help the two to keep each other … but they probably are too intent on asserting their authority to realize that.
