‘Game of Thrones’ season 5: George R.R. Martin on crazy fan conspiracy theories
For the most part, we do very well understand the purpose of crazy fan conspiracy theories. Everyone wants to sit around and speculate things, and when you have a story that has been around as long as “Game of Thrones” it is even easier to do this.
One of the biggest worries in regards to the HBO show is mostly a matter of whether or not the series will end up catching up with the books at some point, and there are already being some preventative measures being put into place to keep that from happening. For example, there is a reason why Bran Stark is being kept out of the upcoming fifth season; his story is technically wrapped up at the moment, and there is no real reason to add anything further to the show with him.
Apparently, though, even with all of this information in mind, there are still some who think that George R.R. Martin has written up the books early, and is merely torturing us with the waiting. This is something that the writer playfully commented on during a brand-new interview with the Huffington Post:
“From my point of view, the craziest one is the people who believe that I’ve actually finished all of the books, and I’m just sitting on them for some reason in order to get more money or increase the value, you know, to release them an appropriate point,” said Martin. “That’s a pretty crazy one, but there seem to be people who actually believe that.”
