‘The Mentalist’ season 7 premiere spoilers: First look at Simon Baker, returning ‘Game of Thrones’ star
Before “The Mentalist” opts to push the story forward in its seventh and final season, Patrick Jane has to deal with a little bit of his past … or Teresa Lisbon’s past, for that matter.
Did you really think that Agent Pike would completely understand the idea of his girlfriend leaving him and not going to Washington, just so that she could be with Jane? Even though he may be a great guy, you’ve got to have questions about if you were always second place, and the embarrassment that comes from rejection.
Well, “Game of Thrones” star Pedro Pascal will be back in the November 30 premiere as Agent Pike, and the photo attached here (first posted by TVLine) showcases Simon Baker’s character and him having some sort of tense conversation about something. Hopefully, this is not leading to Pike challenging him to a trial by combat for Teresa’s love.
It’s nice first and foremost to see Pascal back for one more episode in the role, given that he is going to be a pretty busy man following his memorable turn as Prince Oberyn Martell. We cannot imagine seeing much more of him beyond this, though, strictly because there is no real reason to. Pike’s story is basically at this point done once he has his closure.
With this being said, we imagine that there are still many important stories that are coming up regarding Jane and Lisbon, and their struggles to figure out how to be in a proper relationship. They were partners in a way for six seasons, but a very different sort of partners. It was never even clear if we were going to make it to this point.

Any chance of having more episodes if the ratings are better than some shows on the CBS schedule?
