‘Elementary’ season 3, episode 2 preview: Holmes frustrates Watson yet again
Based on the preview below for Thursday night’s new “Elementary” episode on CBS, you would not know hardly anything that is actually going on with the show. Heck, you may even think that Kitty Winter is still a part of the if you blink during part of the preview video below.
The network has long had an interesting marketing strategy for the show, which is to basically focus on Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu’s characters of Holmes and Watson, and hope that the two of them alone are interesting enough that you don’t really need to say a whole lot else about the series or the story. We’re not big on this, mostly because we feel like “The Five Orange Pipz” has more to offer beyond what just they are showing us with this particular video.
Still, we hope that everyone does check out the show and enjoy the story, since this is a series that does need almost all of the help that it can get at this very moment. The ratings for the series on CBS have not exactly been exemplary, but to be fair, we are talking about only one week, and there is competition not only from “Parenthood” and “How to Get Away with Murder,” but also NFL football right now.
If nothing else, a good reason to be hopeful for this show’s future is because it is in its third season, and with syndication likely, a four-season pickup seems to be all but assured.
