‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 2, episode 7 preview: New video; plus, ‘Agent Carter’ peek

Tuesday night proved to be quite a big one when it comes to Marvel on TV, and this was even without a new episode of “Agents of SHIELD” on the air.

There is a new episode of the show entitled “The Writing on the Wall” airing on ABC next week, and the biggest takeaway from the promo below is mostly that there will be so much more action involving Coulson’s writing. Basically, this story from the past few weeks is going to have a significant and hopefully-awesome payoff at the very end of it.

Just in case that is not enough of a reason to be excited yet, the video below is also an extended look at “Agent Carter,” the much-anticipated new series coming on ABC next year. It’s a lengthy scene that really serves a few simple purposes. It reminds you first and foremost that the costumes for the show are top-notch, and to go along with that, Peggy has her own unique way in which she kicks butt and takes names.

Even with the ratings for “Agents of SHIELD” lower these days, there are still plenty of reasons to be excited for what is going to be coming up moving forward. For one, Ward is out causing all sorts of trouble, and apparently Tim DeKay was so great as the Senator that we’re going to be seeing another appearance from him coming up later this season. Plus, “Agent Carter” will be a nice bridge from one part of the season to the next.
