ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 4 spoilers: On Kerry Washington, shockers in winter finale

Just in case you were wondering how many episodes in particular “Scandal” was going to have prior to wrapping things up for the winter, we now have an official number for you: Nine. If nothing else, be happy that you’ve had a chance to enjoy these nine consecutively before the show goes on hiatus for a little while.

The title for this upcoming midseason finale episode (airing on November 20) is “Where the Sun Don’t Shine,” and it should not come as a whole lot of a surprise that Olivia Pope and almost everyone she loves is in danger. Not only that, but that Elizabeth North’s plan is going to be reaching its chilly peak. Just take a look at the official synopsis below to get some other information on what to expect:

“Command is always two steps ahead and everyone in Olivia’s life is in danger. Meanwhile, Cyrus is forced to face the consequences of his behavior, and Huck and Quinn finally figure out just what Elizabeth North has been planning, but they might be too late to stop it, on the winter finale.”

This finale will almost definitely end with a few jaw-droppers, and then make you wait for a little while to see what is going to be coming up next. It would not shock us if the ABC series took an extended hiatus until late February / early March after this, mostly because this would enable them to air the remaining 13 installments in succession, and without having to deal with any more breaks in the action. It may be annoying, but is it much preferred to the alternative? We like to think so.
