ABC’s ‘Resurrection’ season 2, episode 6 review: Bellamy’s past; Margaret’s role

So far, “Resurrection” season 2 has been a little bit all over the place in regards to consistency, and providing us with answers to just about everything that we need.

We’ll start here with the good news, and that is merely that the show is succeeding still when it comes to great performances. Omar Epps and Michelle Fairley are in particular really stepping up to the plate, and delivering interesting sides to people in Bellamy and Margaret Langston.

With that being said, Bellamy is still in the process of trying to figure out who he is. Through an extensive amount of work, he learned in this episode that he is one of the Thompsons, the family that he saw back during the first season. He was actually born in Arcadia, which put him directly in the same group as everyone else in the town.

Meanwhile, Barbara spent at least part of the episode’s end chatting up the future with Jacob, and claiming how she would be there to help if he ever “moved on,” which is what Barbara seemed to do. Yep, that is yet another reason for Fred to be extremely depressed.

Unfortunately, in the end there is no immediate cure for the virus causing suffering for the Returned. Bellamy learned that there were not enough supplies, and he ultimately gave what the government passed along right over to Maggie. Think of it as his own way of mending fences.

In the end, we’re learning that the Langstons starting up the factor again is not a great move, and that there is some serious work that needs to be done to the Bellamy / Maggie relationship. Maybe all of this will become a little clearer over time … we can only hope so. Grade: B-.
