ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4, episode 6 preview: Why does David have Victoria so worried?
For the past several weeks, “Revenge” has been clearly building towards something. The major question is just what that something is, and how it will shape the rest of the season.
You see, we refuse to believe that David Clarke is as dense as he has come across the past few episodes of the show. He has acted as though he is completely under the spell of one Victoria Grayson from the moment he returned, even though he is responsible for the apparent death of Conrad, and had to be up to something in the years since he supposedly died. Couldn’t we get a flashback episode in here somewhere with some other details?
The reason that the sneak peek below shows such a scared Victoria is simple: She knows that he is doing a major TV interview, and since this is live, almost anything can happen. Her whispers into his hear right before are the final piece of manipulation she can offer.
While Clarke prepares to speak his mind, someone else in Emily Thorne is simply biding her time, and waiting to see when is the best possible opportunity for her to strike. After all, she wants to ensure that she gets her reunion with her father, but in a way that he is prepared to actually receive her.
Maybe we will have that moment a little later on this season; in the wake of all that is happened, it is easy to forget that we are not even a quarter of the way through the story.
