‘Game of Thrones’ season 5 video: George R.R. Martin answers ‘trivia’ with Seth Meyers
Even though there may not be a whole lot of breaking news right now when it comes to “Game of Thrones,” you are getting a few great opportunities as we speak to see George R.R. Martin in various media outlets. The author is in the process of promoting a new supplemental book, and this took him this week to “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”
Once he was present on the NBC show, things took a turn for the surprising … and also the very silly. George took advantage of an opportunity to play a “trivia” game based on so many of the words that he had written for the show, and with the help of Amy Poehler (who has golden chemistry with Seth), he dove right in.
From here on out, things became immediately hilarious. The first couple of questions were normal, but then there were deliberate attempts to make people up, made-up character lines, and then some that were complete jokes. We don’t want to ruin some of the fun for you now, but this is definitely a video worth checking out in its entirety.
For those out there who are diehard “Game of Thrones” fans waiting for what to expect, the new season should begin at some point in late March or early April. As for Martin, the big challenge is preparing his new book The Winds of Winter for launch. He has been writing it for many years, and the paranoia among many fans is that we’re going to get to the point that the show catches up with the books.
