‘2 Broke Girls’ season 4 premiere spoilers: See Max, Caroline, and Kim Kardashian

We understand already if there is a polarizing feeling around the “2 Broke Girls” premiere airing on Monday night, and for one simple reason: Kim Kardashian. Like Lindsay Lohan before her, she is a polarizing star who some love, and many others hate.

So the reason that she is appearing on the CBS sitcom Monday is as a result of producers for “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” approaching Max and Caroline on the show, and asking them about filming something at their new cupcake window. Of course, they would be stupid not to oblige; even if not everyone loves the Kardashians, it is still publicity.

Maybe, this is the philosophy that the producers of “2 Broke Girls” itself has about bringing someone like Kim or Lindsay on. While the show gets decent ratings, they could be even stronger given the way that the show initially started. Also, it’s hard these days to get a lot of attention when you are a sitcom not named “The Big Bang Theory” unless you are getting some notable people to appear at some point.

With all of this being said, we would personally prefer it if the show reached out more to guest-stars who come from within the acting or sitcom community, and not people who are designed to get stories written about you as a tabloid. We tend to find that you can do a little more with them than people who are known more for themselves than any particular role that they play. It’s no real slam on Kim so much as it is a feeling about scripted television and long-term success.
