‘Supernatural’ season 10, episode 4 video: Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki back in action

Sometimes, the Monster of the Week storylines on “Supernatural” are like a nice bowl of chicken soup when you are feeling sick. Even though they very rarely surprise you, they are still by and large supreme entertainment.

Hopefully, we are going to have that once again on “Paper Moon,” which is the fourth episode of season 10 airing on the network come Tuesday night. The sneak peek below shows Sam and Dean going undercover in uniform in order to try and solve a mystery revolving around some attacks. Almost everything in here feels like vintage “Supernatural,” from Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles’ chemistry to the nature of the case to even their responses to questions. The only different here is that Dean is just coming off of one of the most brutal storylines that he has ever been a part of.

While this may be a fairly standalone episode, we’re not going to see a whole lot more quite like this in the immediate future. After all the 200th episode “Fan Fiction” is going to be in very many ways experimental, and themed all around a different perspective to some of their adventures over the years. At the moment, we would very well call it one of the better forms of fan service that we’ve seen.
