‘The X Factor’ UK: Only the Young on possible Stereo Kicks split

Could there be a big surprise on this weekend’s new “X Factor” episode, at least in terms of the boy band Stereo Kicks losing a few members? While it is possible, there isn’t any real information out there suggesting that this is for certain going to happen. If it is, the producers and band members have done a great job keeping it under wraps.

If nothing else, one of their competitors in the Groups category seems to think that they will all be staying put going into this weekend’s show. Speaking per Digital Spy, the band Only the Young had the following to say:

“We love the Stereo Kicks and every boy brings something different … We’re not sure why anyone would think they were splitting!”

We do feel like the guys should stay together at this point, mostly because cutting them down is a sign to the audience that nobody has faith in the band to succeed. In turn, that means that there is no reason for the public to vote for them.

The only funny thing about all of this is that weeks ago, the British press was talking about how this eight-person boy band was going to be the next One Direction; now, they are burying them just because of one comment Louis Walsh made about him not being the one to decide that the group should have eight members. This seems to be where all the talk of cutting people has come from, with one of the leading theories being that the group will lose its youngest members to avoid rules related to rehearsal time for minors.
