‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ episode 4 preview: Jessica Lange backstory; more Mordrake

Do you love these “American Horror Story” two-parters? Well, tonight kicked off the first one in honor of the Halloween holiday, and when “Edward Mordrake: Part II” airs next week, you can expect the crazy to be taken to yet another level. We’ll continue to see his journey, but in addition to that, we’ll learn a few things about how the journey of some other characters led them to Jupiter, Florida in the first place.

FX has not said a whole lot about this story just yet, but they did at least release the official synopsis below:

“Edward Mordrake continues his search for a Freak to add to his ghostly coterie. Elsa tells the grisly story of her days in Germany. Jimmy and Maggie have a run-in with the Twisted Clown.”

Are you still on board this season? We’ve seen some flashes of brilliance, and that in itself is enough to keep us tuned in to figure out what could be coming up around every twist and turn. We’ve got some interesting potential-heroes, but to go along with that, we’ve also got a few villains that send a chill down our spine. (Twisty is just a part of the equation.)
