‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11 spoilers: Ghosts from Amelia’s past

“Grey’s Anatomy” is very much a show where actions from the past can come back to play a role in the future, and sometimes, it really doesn’t even matter if you are talking about events that happened on another show.

If you think back to the spin-off “Private Practice,” then you’ll remember that there was a time when Amelia suffered from some substance-abuse issues and even a notable relapse. While we cannot tell you if this is going to happen to Derek’s sister again on this show, we can at least tell you that per TVLine, the upcoming November 13 installment of the ABC show is one that is going to really put this story in the spotlight more than it has been so far.

Obviously, this can take a variety of different forms, but we are interested in seeing how this plays out given that we really thought that Caterina Scorsone was going to have a little more to do on the show than she has since becoming a series regular. Granted, there hasn’t been just a whole lot of time to afford to her, given that a good bit of the season so far has been focused around Maggie, and then Meredith and Derek struggling to figure out where the two of them stand.

Thursday night looks to be another episode concentrated on just a couple of characters, with them in this case being Callie and Arizona.
