‘Longmire’ season 4: How to help renewal chances through the power of voting
One of the hardest things about going through this waiting period to determine the fate of “Longmire” is simply trying to come up with the best way to support the show. Is it by going online and tweeting, by sending messages to networks, or crossing your fingers and hoping for the best?
While there is no definitive answer as to the best thing you can do, what we will say here is that one thing that we will always recommend is to take your message to a place where even people not familiar with the show will see it. Specifically, we’re talking about the ballots for the People’s Choice Awards.
While it may be a Herculean task, we’d suggest heading over here, and entering the show in as a write-in candidate for the Favorite Cable TV Drama category. Of the shows listed, typically around five or so are selected to be the final nominees. We’ve have actually seen a write-in candidate before make it onto a People’s Choice ballot, but it takes a ton of work and dedication.
In this category, it may actually be feasible. While “Pretty Little Liars” is a lock and “Sons of Anarchy” / “True Detective” should be, there is a room for “Longmire” to be a sleeper. The reason that some titans like “Game of Thrones” and “The Walking Dead” are not on here is because there’s a separate category for some of them.
Anyway, think of this as some food for thought while figuring out some of the best ways to support the cause. If the nominees are narrowed down and “Longmire” is on them, it could get executives to take notice if a decision has not been made at the time.

I miss #Longmire! I heard that TNT had cancelled Dallas, now they decided to bring it back. I wish A&E had common sense, and never cancelled #Longmire. It was a great show, with great stories and Acting.

Longmire is by far the best TV series since NCIS premiered. I see it as a cross between NCIS and the old western “Gunsmoke”. This series has everything….and includes minorities, strong women characters, and fine older actors. The stories run the gauntlet of emotions (love, hatred, betrayal, affection, family issues and myriad other universal human feelings). And there is always a moral issue facing the hero/heroines in the stories.
