‘Pretty Little Liars’ spoilers: The big ‘A’ reveal may come sooner than you think

When is it going to be revealed just who “A” really is on “Pretty Little Liars“? For a good while, we have started to wonder whether or not this is a reveal that the show was just planning to save for its upcoming series finale.

However, based on what Marlene King said during their big Halloween Special event on ABC Family last night, you may get the answer a little bit closer to the near future. Specifically, we’re talking about before the seventh season even starts:

“I think fans got a little worried when they found out that we were going seven seasons, because they thought maybe they’re going to have to wait that long to find out who ‘A’ is, but I am promising you that you don’t … The identity of Big ‘A’ is going to be revealed before season seven starts.”

While it hasn’t necessarily been confirmed that season 7 is the last one for the show, it is pretty fair to assume that it will be. By that point, we wonder mostly if most of the original viewers of the show are even going to be still into the mystery, since the problem with many shows that tend to cater to a younger audience is that you run the risk of some of them starting to really outgrow the material.

For now, we’ll just have to see how the story unfolds, but we’re excited that at least there will be one pretty major secret revealed before the end.
