‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 2, episode 6 preview: ‘A Fractured House’ leads to danger
A house divided cannot stand … or in the case of Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD,” and organization framed cannot thrive.
“A Fractured House” is the title for the new episode airing on ABC a week from tonight, and the story seems simple enough: It’s a journey for Phil Coulson and company to clear their name after running into some major problems at the United Nations. As if dealing with Hydra was not enough, there will also be a surprise adversary that the team will also have to take on:
“The world turns against S.H.I.E.L.D. when Hydra impersonates them to attack The United Nations, and an unexpected enemy leads the charge to bring about their downfall.”
What is also unexpected about this upcoming episode, at least based on the promo that aired follow Tuesday night’s episode, is that the organization’s last hope may actually be something that they never wanted to do in a million years: Rely on a traitor.
Unfortunately, this is the position that they are in now. This is not the same SHIELD that we had before the rise of Hydra to power, given that they have operated a whole lot more in the shadows, and Coulson has been forced to look at things much more as an underdog.
Hopefully, this episode is going to provide everything that we want and then some. If nothing else, it should be a nice foundation for the November sweeps, which is when the big shockers come.
