‘Supernatural’ season 10, episode 3 preview: Jensen Ackles directs ‘Soul Survivor’
Is next week’s new “Supernatural” season 10 episode the most important of the season? We cannot fully say that, but it should at least be an important one for furthering along the Demon Dean storyline.
Not only that, but this episode should be a great one simply when it comes to Jensen Ackles. The man behind Dean Winchester is set to direct “Soul Survivor” (or he already has, technically), which is something that he has done on a handful of times in the past. Story-wise, Dean will be struggling due to the combination of being a demon and also having the Mark of Cain. Meanwhile, we are going to see Sam trying his best to be a hero, and Crowley reaches out of Castiel as he starts to realize that this Dean experiment may be so much more trouble than he is worth.

“Sam (Jared Padalecki) continues his efforts to save Dean (Jensen Ackles) from the Mark of Cain. Crowley (Mark Sheppard) realizes Dean’s demonic antics are starting to cause problems for him in Hell so he searches out an unlikely ally – Castiel (Misha Collins).”
Does this sound fun to anyone else? It should at least be one of the more intense episodes that we’ve seen so far, and it gets us ever closer to the big 200th installment entitled “Fan Fiction.” We have to admit that we are more excited for that than we can even write into words.

I am loving Demon!Dean so much. Scary and awesome and Ackles nails it. Sammy is just starting to be afraid; his face at the end showed he really is starting to understand how dangerous Demon!Dean is and how lost his brother is. Even the Heaven storyline may pick up some speed, with Crowley calling Cas in to help control Demon!Dean. And I like Cole – a parallel to the boys original storyline, a monster (demon!) kills a parent and he spends his life learning to be a killer to avenge his father’s death and the loss of his own childhood. Full circle now with Dean having travelled from his own destroyed childhood into a demon himself. Loving. It.
