‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 2, episode 5 preview: ‘The Weeping Lady’ brings in Ichabod’s past

Could romance be on the table on next week’s “Sleepy Hollow“? It all really depends on how you define the word. There will be a woman from Ichabod Crane’s past who turns up in this episode, and in addition to that, you’re also going to find out some more information about Abbie possibly finding someone in the present. Sounds intriguing, no? If nothing else, it also sounds pretty fun in contract to some of the sadder stuff we’ve seen this season.

Unfortunately for Ichabod, the fun will stop when he realizes that this particular woman is going to be a member of the un-dead, and she also may have designs on killing him and anyone else. Take a look at the synopsis for “The Weeping Lady” now below:

“A woman from Ichabod Crane’s past comes to Sleepy Hollow in the form of an un-dead Weeping Lady, aiming to harm anyone in her path. Meanwhile, Katrina and Crane learn unsettling things about each other’s pasts, and Abbie has some unexpected flirtatious encounters.”

There have been times this season where we’ve worried about the extra episodes somewhat sagging the story, but given what we saw tonight and what we think we’re going to see next week on the show, we don’t feel as worried as we expected we’d be at this point. Our concern is more for the ratings; the best thing that the show really has going for it right now is that the numbers elsewhere are so terrible, things will probably still work out well for it.
