‘Arrow’ season 3 spoilers: First details on winter finale
How many episodes are going to be airing on “Arrow” season 3 in 2014? Based on what we have heard at the moment, the answer to this question is nine, which means that the episode title that we have to share for you right now is of the big winter finale.
The Twitter post from executive producer Marc Guggenheim below reveals that “The Climb” is the name for 3×09, and it is written by Jake Coburn and Keto Shimizu. Meanwhile, Thor Freudenthal is crossing over from the Marvel universe (kidding?) to direct the hour.
While there is not a whole lot out there about this episode just yet, here’s what we do know:
- This is directly following the big crossover event that is going to span both “Arrow” and “The Flash” in some way.
- There has been talk about an extremely epic fight scene taking place in this episode. The bar was set high on epicness based on what we saw between Oliver Queen and Slade Wilson in the season 2 finale.
- The words “literal cliffhanger” have been thrown around a lot, which makes some sense given the title.
- Hopefully, this is not a reference to that Miley Cyrus song performed all the time on talent competitions.
Before “The Climb” gets here, there is obviously still quite a bit to look forward to. The next episode “Sara” is going to be all about grieving and moving forward. Meanwhile, from there you will have some specific characters stories, eventually leading to the arrival of Ra’s al Ghul into the world in “The Apprentice.”
All in all, expect an awesome first half of season 3. Let’s hope that the back 13 live up to what we’re hearing about the first batch.
