‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11, episode 4 video: A tough patient for Ellen Pompeo’s Meredith

Over the past few weeks, the focus for “Grey’s Anatomy” has been by and large some of the character stories with newcomer Maggie, who cannot be feeling particularly great about life at the moment. After all, just think for a few minutes about everything that has happened to her: She found out the truth from Richard long after she started working with him, and she also has a less-than-favorable relationship with Meredith.

Based on the new sneak peek below, though, it feels almost like Thursday night’s new episode “Only Mama Knows” is going to be much more concentrated on some of the other characters, not to mention some of the complicated cases that have been a central part of the show since the very beginning.

When we first watched the clip below, the first thought that ran into our mind was whether or not this child was pregnant. Then, we did a little more research and thought, and believe that she actually has a really horrendous tumor. This is going to be one of the bigger individual challenges that Ellen Pompeo’s character has faced, and at this point, it is fair to say that she has certainly seen a lot.

Let’s hope that this is a story with a happy conclusion at the end, but it also seems pretty clear that this is not one that is going to be resolved within the span of a single episode.
