‘The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’ finds replacements for Michael Che and more

If there is one other program in late-night that has shown to be just about as rich of a talent farm as of late as “Saturday Night Live,” it is “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.” With that in mind, it’s safe to say that we’re pretty darn stoked to find out who are the latest people who will be taking on the role of correspondent moving forward.

The network has confirmed that actor / writer / comedian Hasan Minhaj will be joining the show in this role come November, and then comedian Trevor Noah will be coming up the following month. This does continue the show’s trend of getting an interesting, diverse bunch of people on the show covering stories, and also people with a wide array of talent.

There are some holes on “The Daily Show” that do need to be filled. After all, remember here that Michael Che has left in order to be the co-host on “Saturday Night Live,” while Larry Wilmore is going to be departing to host his “Minority Report with Larry Wilmore” series at some point starting next year. This show will be a replacement for “The Colbert Report,” given that Stephen is heading over to CBS to host “The Late Show,” and also leaving his established character in the dust.

Some notable alumni from “The Daily Show” who have gone on to do great things include Steve Carell, Colbert, Olivia Munn, Rob Riggle, Josh Gad, Ed Helms, and of course John Oliver, who is now hosting his own show over on HBO to great success.
