‘Arrow’ season 3 spoilers: Another ‘Spartacus’ alum signs on … as Captain Boomerang?
For one reason or another (not that we are complaining by any means), “Arrow” has quite the love affair going on with another TV series in “Spartacus.” Manu Bennett obviously played a huge role here in Slade Wilson, and Katrina Law also has stopped by in the role of Nyssa al Ghul. They weren’t exactly tied together on the show, but they were at least a part of the same universe.
Now, we are pleased to add another alum from the series to the mix right now in Nick Tarabay. According to a new report from Entertainment Weekly, the actor will guest-star on the upcoming seventh episode of the season as Digger Harkness, a weapons expert who has goes by another name in Captain Boomerang. In the comic world, this is a very notable character with ties to The Flash, and he also has a part in the Suicide Squad. Could he be one of the members of the ARGUS team on the show?
What is especially interesting about this casting right now is that this role will continue forward into the eighth episode of the season, which also does happen to be a crossover with “The Flash.” Therefore, Harkness will truly get the best of both worlds when it comes to this show, and we will get more of a “Spartacus” tribute on this series.
This is the latest of many big “Arrow” castings right now. Matt Nable has been booked already as the season’s big bad in Ra’s al Ghul, while you will also see Brandon Routh as The Atom (at least hopefully), and also J.R. Martinez as Wildcat.
