‘Community’ season 6: Gillian Jacobs lines up next gig in Netflix comedy
The more and more we see from the “Community” cast, the more that it is starting to become clear that they view the upcoming sixth season on Yahoo Screen as the last. After all, Yvette Nicole Brown is joining “The Odd Couple,” Ken Jeong has a new comedy pilot on MTV, and Gillian Jacobs has also lined up now what will be her next gig: A comedy on Netflix.
Jacobs is set to star alongside “Super Fun Night” actor Paul Rust in “Love,” a series from Judd Apatow and Leslie Arfin (“Girls”) that is, per the service, “an unflinching, hilarious and excruciatingly honest take on modern relationships.” She will play the character Mickey, and here is the most surprising thing to us: This project already has a two-season commitment from Netflix. Let this be proof that if you are Judd Apatow, the world really can bend to your will from time to time.
While this is not confirmation that “Community” does not have any season 7 plans, the future schedules for many of these actors are getting a little crazy, and we don’t want the show to overstay its welcome in the first place. It’s starting to feel more and more like the best move for the series really could be just figuring out a way to end the series side of things this coming season, and the look ahead to a movie someday. After all, this is really the only thing that fans want for their dream prophecy to be fulfilled.
Are you glad to see that Jacobs has secured some great work for her long-term future already? Be sure to share some of your thoughts right now with a comment.

I just hope that season 6 of my favorite non-amitmated TV show is better than season 5 was. No more D&D or GI Joe please. Focus on the main characters.

The GI Joe episode focused on Jeff’s problems. So it actually had a lot to do with what was going on with him!

You’re complaining about season 5 when season 4 happened?
