‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 6 spoilers: ‘Intelligence’ alum signs up for role

More scoop -

There are always a number of things going on with “NCIS: Los Angeles.” Typically, you have a larger plot for Sam and Callen, some “will they or won’t they?” drama for Kensi and Deeks, and then also something that qualifies as a story of the week.

For this particular article, we feel like we are casting a focus primarily on the latter. According to a report via Entertainment Weekly, John Billingsley of “Intelligence” fame has been brought on to play a survivor following a shooting at a Department of Defense accounting firm. As you would expect, he is going to be dealing with a great deal of sorrow and survivor’s guilt, but he has a larger purpose, as well: Trying to help the team figure out whether this shooting impacted classified missions, which could now be compromised and exposed to the public.

This mission is something that we expect to be traditional “NCIS: Los Angeles,” meaning some relentless action, memorable characters, and a few moments in here for the series regulars to shine. There is probably still a feeling for everyone involved with the show right now that they have to step things up, if for no other reason than that the competition is so much greater than ever before. Not only is the show up against one titan on the schedule in “Castle,” but there is another in “The Blacklist.” The fact that all three of these are of similar genres will not help matters. “The Blacklist” has a head start premiering on September 22; the other two shows return the following week.
