ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7 spoilers: More explanation on that Nathan Fillion cliffhanger

The latest -Are you eventually going to figure out what happened to Richard Castle? While it may take “Castle” a little while to get there, the answer to that does seem to be “yes.”

While we are still confused slightly about the format of the first two episodes of season 7 (we’ve heard that it’s a two-parter in some ways, but may not be in others), new showrunner David Amann at least does have some more details about how the “new mythology” we are set to see unfold will work. Just take a look now at his official comments per TV Guide:

“After the second episode, the audience will have some but not all of the answers about what exactly is going on … It’s a sufficient amount [of resolution] that the characters can move and get back to life as they knew it, but the effects of what happened to Castle will re-emerge and re-assert themselves later in the season.”

Basically, this story will most-likely come back during one of the sweeps periods in November, February, or May; heck, it could come back in all three of them if it really wanted to. We just hope personally that this is a season-long arc, and not something that has been drawn out for years without any expectation as to when it will end. That has driven us somewhat nuts when it comes to 3XK, since by the time we see him or his minions again, it’s been so long that we almost forget about the last time.
