ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4 spoilers: Emily VanCamp, a party, and other premiere details
ABC released a bevy of information about many of their hit series today, and when it comes to “Revenge,” that means us finally getting a sense of what Victoria Grayson’s next move could be in the wake of her imprisonment in an asylum.
This episode is titled “Renaissance,” which in itself feels almost a code for some sort of great change. Then, you have the official synopsis below, which does its best to indicate that we could see a turnaround for Madeleine Stowe’s character, while Emily VanCamp’s own Emily Thorne starts to feel like everything is finally normal again. Take a look at the official synopsis below:
“As Emily plans to host her most surprising party ever, Victoria finds a way to turn her greatest setback into a dangerous advantage. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to them both, David Clarke plans his next move.”
What we know right now about the David Clarke storyline is that this is not going to immediately collide with everything else on the show. The writers seem to be more intrigued with the possibility of making this into a slow burn, and allowing us over time to start to understand more and more about who this character is in the present day. There are 22 episodes coming up and possibly more depending on the ratings, so what is the reason to rush things?
As for Victoria, the recent poster released for the show strong indicates that she will in fact receive the “I want revenge” edit much in the same way that Emily had the first three seasons. This is a huge risk that the show is currently taking, but we are very excited to see how all of this could turn out when the dust settles.
