ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4: Full poster features Emily VanCamp, Madeleine Stowe, and thorns
Perhaps we were a little premature in our criticism of the promotional strategy for “Revenge” season 4. When we first saw the posters that ABC put out for the new season yesterday, they honestly felt incomplete … probably because they were.
Now, we’ve got the official poster, and it’s pretty awesome and a nice homage back to the first season of the show. This time around, though, Emily Thorne is not the only person sporting the “dress of thorns”: Victoria Grayson is right there with her, plotting her own strategy for the future. This poster is indicative of where the show is going, and is probably also a nice dose of proof that Victoria will probably waste no time at all when it comes to planning.
After all, did you really think that we were going to see Victoria locked away in the asylum for the rest of the series? That seems just as impossible as everyone on this show getting together in a prayer circle holding hands. Sooner or later, she will find her way out of her, and almost immediately after that, the plotting and planning for the future can truly begin.
This season looks to be a huge one for Emily VanCamp and Madeleine Stowe, and from our vantage point, we simply hope that it lives up to the expectations that we’ve built in our head. Season 3 was a marked improvement, after all, over the show’s second go-around.

I think the poster is a very promising and auspicious indicator of the show’s direction. This is exactly what the audience loves about the show, Victoria and Emily’s visceral hate for each other, and with Victoria on the attack, the show can really only go up. I do hope that this is the last season though, I loved season 3 and really want the show to join my group of shows that ended so creatively up that it leaves no mark of regret when recalling memories of watching it.
