ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7 spoilers: Weddings, future for Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic to play

Will there be a wedding early on “Castle” season 7? That is a hard question to answer without spoiling anything, but we at least know that there is a reason to be hopeful … very hopeful. The Castle – Beckett relationship is one that is built on love, and even though there was a major interruption in their last attempt at saying “I do,” isn’t it safe to say there are some other chances in the future?

It certainly seems so, at least based on what showrunner David Amann said on the subject, and also the mostly-negative backlash that the season 6 finale received. Here is what he had to say on the subject to Entertainment Weekly:

“We understand there’s disappointment. We’re committed to the Castle-Beckett relationship. Over the course of season 7, their relationship will continue to blossom and grow, and perhaps some of the things that people might have wanted to see in season 6 may present themselves a little bit later.”

This certainly does not make us think that the wedding is going to happen right away, but who knows? We could be wrong. The only thing we hope at this point is that if the wedding does happen on the series, it takes place without all of the buildup once again. the last thing that we want is to be continually sitting around and waiting for a ceremony that may not happen again. Have it be a surprise, or without the same fanfare that we had on this past season. Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic’s performances will make it great regardless.
