‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8 spoilers: Leonard, Amy take road trip for premiere
What’s coming on the “Big Bang Theory” season 8 premiere? Just in case you wanted confirmation that Sheldon actually got on that train in the previous finale, we have it for you here.
The first episode of the new season, airing on September 22, is entitled (fittingly so) “The Locomotion Interruption.” This will be a road-trip episode of sorts, but will also feature Penny making a move forward in her career (which you may have heard about already) and Howard also struggling with what his mother and Stuart have been up to. CBS released the official logline today, and you can check that out below:
“Leonard and Amy take an unexpected road trip to Arizona to pick up Sheldon. Meanwhile, Penny interviews for a job at Bernadette’s company and Howard is weirded out by Stuart’s relationship with Mrs. Wolowitz.”
The biggest thing that we can say for now is that there’s at least some potential for comedy here. We’re still not sure if we like Penny temporarily giving up on her acting dream, mostly because it was nice to see her go in that direction for a change. However, we are nonetheless interested to see if things change for her and Leonard when she starts making actual money for the first time since the series began.
As for the Sheldon story, we imagine him stuck somewhere in an Arizona train station in the fetal position. It’s all about baby steps for this guy, and he just tried to take a big leap. We imagine that there would be some sort of recoil as a result of that.

The second part of the premiere involves Sheldon teaching a class and Mrs. Davis. I can’t wait to see that because it just lends itself to laughs.

This part one of the premiere sounds excellent. Bring on Season 8 of The Big Bang Theory.
