‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 7: ‘Bad things’ and Charlie Hunnam’s Jax in new trailer
The more that we start to see footage of “Sons of Anarchy” season 7, the more that one thing starts to become abundantly clear: This is not going to be a year full of daffodils and happy things.
Instead, you have Nero punching Jax in the face, Charlie Hunnam’s character demanding that SAMCRO be protected at all costs, and Abel asking Gemma if his daddy does “bad things” … which causes Gemma to basically lie through her teeth. (Spoiler alert: Gemma also does bad things. Just ask that fork from the season 6 finale.) All of these moments are made clear in the latest promo-trailer released by FX, which also gives you one of the first looks at Annabeth Gish (“The Bridge”) as one of the new police officers in Charming. She should help give an extra police presence with CCH Pounder doubling up with “NCIS: Los Angeles,” and with Rockmond Dunbar leaving during season 6 in order to take a gig over on “The Mentalist.”
The funny thing about this and most other promos released for the show so far, though, is that they really have not revealed that much proportional to how much footage is actually out there. Most of this content is expected, from Jax defending his club to Gemma lying. The Nero punch is one of the most notable parts of this, since he’s not a guy who messes around unless he has a purpose. (Let’s just also take a brief moment here to applaud Jimmy Smits for sticking around with this show, especially since we thought this was going to just be a one-season thing at first.)
